In this class, you will understand the use of the present continuous tense to express a future meaning, and you will also practice using present continuous tense for future plans. Before starting, do you remember Paul and Milline's conversation? Very good. And do you remember what the conversation is about?

老师:Now let's come to see the sentences selected from their conversation. 1St, please read together with me. I am traveling around Europe for two weeks with my aunt and uncle. We are renting a car and driving. My parents are taking me to Hong Kong during the October holiday.

老师:What do these sentences mean? Yes. And then let's focus on the tense. Now my question is, what do you think the tense in the sentences expresses? Now let's focus on the yes, yes, very good. They are showing us the future plans. And then we have already come to the point today. Today we are going to explore the new use of this tense in expressing a future plan. Through this conversation, we have already known Paul and Meilin, they are talking about their plan for the coming holidays. And what about the other conversations? Okay. In order to get more information about the new tense, we would like to see another conversation.

老师:Now please read the conversation and underline the structures to express future plans. Have a finish. Good. And then please tell me what the conversation is about. Very good. They are talking about the plan for the coming weekend. Very good. And then how do you know? Someone may think that the tense, okay, let's move on to the dialogue. 老师:Just now you said the conversation is about their plan for the coming weekend. How do you know that is in the future? Very good. Someone mentions this weekend. Is that a present time or the past time? No, future time. So Amy is asking the weekend plan or we see the weekend arrangement. And then what about Jeremy's answer? Some friends and I are going to that new water park on Saturday. Yes, another time. Always say the date on Saturday. This one belongs to the coming weekend. So Jeremy, he uses the present continuous tense to tell us, I will go to the park on Saturday instead. Okay, let's move on.

老师:What about this one? We are meeting at 10 a. M. A little bit different. That is exact date, time period. And then this one, yes, accurate time. So that is also Jeremy. He is telling Amy, some friends and I will meet at am. See, that is the use of the present continuous tense in expressing the future plan.

老师:Let's come to this sentence. All you eating? What tense is it? Very good. The present, continuous tens
