老师：各位同学大家好，我是来自清华大学附属中学的朱英老师。这节课我们所要上的内容是八年级上半学期期中复习 period five 第五课时， my favorite。我最喜欢的这节课的话题仍然是 tv shows。那让我们来看一看在完成这课时的学习之后，我们会有怎样的提升。
老师：by the end of the class you will be able to firstly describe and compare different tv shows in terms of the genre， the holes， the procedures and the benefits。
老师：我们将从节目的种类、主持人流程和所获得益处这几个方面来描述和比较不同的电视节目。
老师：and secondly introduce your favorite TV show concerning， the four aspects。
老师：从这 4 个方面来介绍你最喜爱的电视节目， are we clear now， lets review our task。和上一课是一样， our task today。
老师：Is to write a blog post with our recommendation about the shows we watched. And we have already finished the first two steps of writing a blog post to give a recommendation. They are listing the alternatives and gathering the relevant information about the alternatives. So today in this lesson, we are going to deal with the third and fourth one, comparing the alternatives and recommending one of them.
老师：So now let's start with the third step, compare the alternatives. Please think about this question. What do you take into consideration when commenting on TV shows? Do you still remember the introductions to the four optional TV shows? They include the genre and the host, right? And the procedures. And then to comment on TV shows, actually, when you have one more aspects, that is the benefits we can get from these TV shows. Got that?
老师：So now let's compare our alternatives in terms of these four aspects. First, let's study their genres. As for the four optional TV shows, we can know that the first one is a, do you remember, very good again show, right? And the second one, The Voice of China, that is a talent show. And the third one is a live show. And the last one, the reader, is a talk show.
老师：Beside these four types of TV shows, we also have Learned some kinds of TV shows in our textbook. Let's see. We also have sports roles, self operas, sitcoms and news. Got that?
老师：So after telling the genres of TV shows, we need to think about what people think of these different types of TV shows. We may use some description words, all we call them adjectives, to describe these TV shows. These 8 adjectives are shown in our textbook. They are educational, serious, wonderful, relaxing, meaningless, enjoyable, exciting and boring.
老师：So now let's try to use these adjectives or description words to modify the four optional TV shows. For the first TV show, the Chinese classical poetry. Crystal, what adjectives from this 8 can be used to describe this TV show? Try to circle them. Very good. We may circle educational, serious, wonderful, enjoyable and exciting. That means the Chinese classical poetry Crystal, is educational. Serious, wonderful, enjoyable, and exciting. Got that? Now let's move on to the second TV show, the voice of China
