老师:Hi, everyone. Welcome back to my class. Today we'll continue learning Unit 11, how was a school trip? In this lesson, we'll cover section B, 2 a to 2 c.

老师:Now, are you ready for the class? Let's kick it off. First, the learning objectives of this lesson. By the end of this class, you'll be able to use descriptive words to describe good things and bad things, read and compare people's different opinions towards the same thing, and appreciate differences and respect different opinions. So we are going to do some reading today. But before we read, let's first do a role play. Look at the conversation below. You are Jane and I'm Tony. So I'm going to start the conversation first. How was a school trip, Jane? Really? Where did you go?

老师:Oh, that's too bad. Very well. Now let's replay another conversation. This time you are Tony and I'm Jane. So I'm going to start first. How about your school trip, Tony? So what did you do then?

老师:Sounds like you had a great school trip. Good. Now, let's think about this question here. How did Jane and Tony describe their trips and also the things on their trips? 1St, how did Jane describe her trip? She said her trip was terrible. And then what about Tony? It was great. Then how did Jane describe the weather? She said it was cold. A Tony said something else. He said there are many interesting things and he saw some really beautiful paintings. He even had some delicious food. So if we compare these two different opinions, we'll see one of them is negative and the other one is positive.

老师:Can you think of any other descriptive words? The weather, the food, the transportation, people on your trip? And you can even think about the feelings you had about your trip. Let's have a brainstorm.

老师:You can pause here and write down as many words or adjectives as you can. When you finish, we can talk about the words together. So what are the adjectives you can think of about weather? Okay, there are some. For example, code, hot, Wendy, cloudy, rainy, sunny or snowy. Then what about food? Adjectives you can think of? Okay, we could say delicious or it awful. Spicy, salty, sweet, fresh, tasty, and tasteless. So those are the good and bad words about food.

老师:Transportation, we have convenient, fast, slow, crowded, expensive and cheap. Here expensive means cost a lot of money. It's not cheap. Now you can read after me. Expensive, expensive. Now let's move on to people. What are the words that can be used to describe people? We have outgoing, friendly, honest, dishonest, helpful, unkind, both negative and positive. Finally, what about feelings? How can you describe your feelings? You could say terrible, great, excellent, interesting, boring, wonderful, unforgettable. Unforgettable means you just can't forget about it.
