老师：Hi everyone. Welcome to my class. Today we'll continue learning Unit 6. I'm watching TV. In today's lesson, we'll cover section B 1 a to 1 c and self check one. Now before we start the class, let's first take a look at the learning objectives. By the end of this class, you'll be able to first use verb firms correctly. That is verb ing firms. Second, improve your listening skills by practicing note taking. And third, ask and answer questions about what people are doing in different places.
老师：Now let's kick off. First, we're going to play a game. You can see here the first row are names, the second row are activities, and the third row are places.
老师：I'm going to do an example for you. I'm going to turn this picture, and it turns out to be gems. In the next row, I'm going to select this one here. James Eat. Okay. And finally, how about this one here? Pool. So we're going to make a sentence that is James is eating in the pool.
老师：Are we clear? Now, let's play the game. May I turn the pictures for you? Good. How about this one here? Alice. And then how about this one here? Dance. Finally, what about this picture here?
老师：Zoo. So how do we make this sentence? Alice? Dance Zoo. Yes, you're right. Alice is dancing in the zoo. Great. Now, another one. Anna, shopping, right? And then where? School, how to make this sentence, Anna, is shopping in school such fun? Well, you may notice that the three verbs in the three sentences are changed in, into their ing forms in different ways. For example, eat is changed into eating by directly adding ing, but dance is changed into dancing by removing the e and then adding ing. Shop is a little bit different, is changed into shopping by adding a P and then ing. Now, let's work out the rules one by one.
老师：Now let's review some of the verb expressions we Learned in our previous class. For example, this picture here was she doing, she's watching TV, right? Watching TV. Next, this boy here, his, he's washing the dishes. Washing the dishes. Then finally, how about these two people here? What are they doing? They are listening to a CD. Listening to a CD. Now, for these verbs, they have the same rules.
老师：一般情况下，这些动词直接在动词尾后加上ING，构成动词的 ING 形式。
老师：Now, you can take some notes if you like. Next, let's take a look at some other pictures. For example, this one here. What's the boy doing? You still remember that, right? The boy is using the computer. Using the computer. And then what's the boy doing here? He's cooking. Or more specifically, he's making soup. Making soup. Not. Finally, what's the goal doing here? She's, she's exercising. Exercising. Now, for these verbs, when they are changed into its ing forms, usually we remove the e and then plus.
