老师：Hello everyone, glad to meet you here. In this session, we are to take up a blog post and address the usage of passive voice. First of all, let me share with you two inspiring proverbs. The first one is, genius is gained by accumulation, Kian Teik Saiedah. The second, nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
老师：as a 没有热情，就不会有伟大的成就。
老师：As you know, in sporting events, medal winners are commonly acknowledged as geniuses. Actually, athletes always train hard from day to day. Consequently, their goals are achieved. So we admire them so much for their great achievements and great enthusiasm.
老师：Now let's take a close look at the two proverbs again. Can you find the passive voice in the, yes. In the first one is gained is passive voice. In the second one was achieved is passive votes. And passive voice is a key issue to be addressed in this period. Please read the blog post about the City Half Marathon on page twenty and find the sentences using the passive voice in the past, continuous and past perfect tenses.
老师：Okay, I'm sure you can find the sentences so easily. There are two sentences using the past continuous tense. That is, a city half Marathon for amateurs was being organized, even though my limits were being tested like never before. And there are two sentences using the past perfect tense. That is, I reflected on what had just been achieved. I was happy to learn that a lot of money had been waste for charity.
老师：You see, the passive voice in the past continuous tense shows us what was happening at a certain moment. While the passive voice in the past perfect tense shows us what had happened. Can you help me work out the rules of the two passive voice? Let's have a try together. The passive voice in the past continuous tense is what were being done? And the passive voice in the past perfect tense is had been done.

老师：In the first picture, our athletes performed so excellently that they won all the medals in the event. The national flags were being raised. In Picture 2, after winning the match, a famous athlete, Ma Long, was being kissed by his excited coach, Liu Guoliang. How exciting it was. The athlete was being kissed by the excited coach.
