  老师:Hello, everyone. Welcome to Miss Emily's class. In today's lesson, we are going to learn the Unit 4, breaking boundaries, understanding ideas. We will focus on the reading part. The topic is my 100 days with MSF. Here are the learning objectives at the end of the lesson. You will be able to, No. 1, get the mean idea and structure of the journal. No. 2, get a specific information about the writer's experiences and feelings. No. 3, talk about and share your understanding of a community with a shy future for mankind and the spirit of MSF doctors.

  老师:Before we start it, let's look at three pictures and think about what kind of problem do the people have in each picture. The people in the three pictures are experiencing boundaries in geography, language and culture respectively. These boundaries might cause issues such as remote relationships, misunderstanding or cultural affairs. Can you imagine the situation that people who comes from different parts of the world work together in a common course? Actually, there are a lot of global communities in the world. What do you know about this picture? It's the simple of medicine, says frontiers, medicines, Science Frontiers. MSF are doctors without borders in English, was founded in Paris in 1971 by a group of doctors and the journalist. It is an independent non profit organization whose mission is to provide medical care to those affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters are a lack of access to health care. It assist people based on need, regardless of which country they are from. The top priority goes to those in the most serious and immediate danger. Today, MSF has over 67000 team members from over 150 countries and the regions.

  老师:Now let's come to the reading passage. Can you predict what passage is mainly about? According to the title, my 100 days with MSF and the pictures in the passage, you may tell me that it's about the journal of an MSF doctor. It recorded what the author saw, heard and felt in 100 days to help the African patients.

  老师:Now let's read the journal of an MSF doctor and find out what problem he was involved in tackling. All right. You can find out the doctor was involved in tackling the infectious disease Ebola in Liberia.

  老师:Now please read a passage for the second time and try to find out the topic. Sentences, a main idea of each paragraph and the structure of the text. You must have got the topic sentences.
