  老师:Today we are going to focus on writing. We'll learn to write safety guidelines. In this section, we are going to read a passage of Hurricane safety guidelines, which can help us have a better understanding of the purpose, the structure and the language features related to safety guidelines. After reading the passage carefully, you are expected to summarize how to write safety guidelines, including the structure and useful expressions. You are to find out the language features and collect enough tips on flight safety guidelines.   老师:Number one, flat. Number two, volcanic eruption. Number three, drought. Number four, earthquake. Number five, landslide. Number six, Forest Fair. Also, we can call it wildfire. Number seven, storm. Number eight, typhoon. And number nine, Hurricane. Actually, there are many kinds of disasters, and these are only some of them.   学生:We can get a lot of information from the map. On August 23rd, Hurricane Katrina formed on the Atlantic Ocean where there was a tropical depression. It was a tropical storm at the beginning and quickly became a Hurricane. Hurricane Katrina lasted for almost nine days, mainly hitting the southern states including Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. It was one of the costliest natural disasters in the US history, causing USD 108 billion in damage. What was worse, he claimed more than 1000 and 800 lives.
