  老师:Hello everyone, I'm Miss Zhang from Yangxiang High School, affiliate to BNU. Welcome to this lesson.   老师:Are you ready? Here we go. Now let's look at the pictures taken from Task 1 on page 8 in our textbook. In the pictures, the two students just received their exam results, but results were different a lot. Student a just scored 60, which made him quite frustrated, while Student B earned more than ninety, which was to his great delight. To Student B surprise and embarrassment, Student a complained about his own score and asked for that of Student B. What would you say if you were student to be? Well, let me ask you some sub questions to get your thinking. How does Student B fail hearing the question? Does Student B wish to tell his real Mark to Student A?

  老师:Well, if I were student to be hearing the question, I would surely feel a little bit tangled and confused because my school was not good news for him. Of course, I didn't want to make him feel worse. So I've got two choices, either to tell him a score that is almost same with his or to avoid telling him the score. Which one do you prefer? If it's to tell him a fourth score to make him feel better, you choose to tell white lie. If it's to avoid the score, you deal with it in sensible way. Just imagine how ashamed and angry he would be once he discovered you earned a much better score, but told an eye.

  老师:Well, I'm so curious that have you ever been in other similar situations in which you were also so confused about whether to tell the truth. If so, how did you deal with it? Well, I'd like to offer you some hints. I believe the majority of us, I mean, most of us have the experience of being asked for the taste of the food cooked fast. Bell parents who are trying to make new dishes. And most of us, of course, will say that it's delicious even though it's actually awful because we don't want to disappoint them, right? Is anyone who used to have a different way to deal with this kind of embarrassment? Well, I got it. Maybe some of honest boys or girls would choose to tell the truth. Why aren't you afraid of disappointing them? Great. Your friend comments may disappoint them for the moment, but in the long run it may help them improve the cooking.
