We are going to analyze and evaluate our main character's qualities. Now let's get started. Our first task is to activate and share. To start with, let's play a guessing game. Here are some quotes about a group of people. You may try to guess who they are. Quote one, they have the power to help people become winners. Quote 2, they make a lasting impact on the lives of others. Lasting here means continuing for a long time. Quotes 3, they are called engineers of the human soul and considered honorable.
老师：It is easy to get to the answer. This group of people are teachers. That's our reading topic for today. Let's continue our task of activating and sharing. This time you need to think about the question, what qualities does a good teacher have? I am sure you can come up with a lot of ideas. To organize your ideas more clearly, you can use the following three patterns to talk about teachers qualities.
老师：I write your expressions down in your worksheet. The first pattern is a good teacher does something here. You are expected to write down verb expressions to organize your sentences. The second pattern is a good teacher is and you are expected to write adjectives to complete your sentences. The third pattern is a good teacher has and in this pattern you are supposed to use nouns. You have two minutes to brainstorm words and expressions to write them down in your worksheet. Now you have your words and expressions ready. Let's talk about what makes a good teacher together.
老师：For Pattern 1, we can use verb expressions to talk about teachers qualities. Here are some examples. A good teacher understands students. A good teacher makes friends with students. Or a good teacher makes students feel confident.
老师：For the second pattern, we can use adjectives to talk about teacher's qualities. Here are some examples for you. A good teacher is understanding. A good teacher is caring. A good teacher is creative. A good teacher is inspiring. I'm sure you have written a lot of other words in your worksheet.
