  老师:各位同学,大家好,我是来自北京师范大学附属实验中学的曹向前老师,欢迎大家跟我一起继续学习第七单元。

学生:Now let's begin the second period of Lesson 3, a musical genius. This class we will concentrate on the language use of the text and talk about some deeper issues related to the topic of the text, a musical genius.

学生:Now, first, let's do some revision about both the content and the language of the text. You may refer to your graphic organizers or the text if necessary, but first try to answer the questions without the organizer or the text.

学生:Now, look at this picture and try to answer these questions. Where was Beethoven before the performance and how was the atmosphere there? The answer is Beethoven was at the backstage. The backstage atmosphere was tense. Now, pay attention to the keywords here, backstage and tense.

学生:Now, let me ask you some further questions. Have you ever been to the backstage? How were the atmosphere there? Was it always tense? I guess many of you have been to the backstage if you have ever been on the stage giving a performance. The answer is, Beethoven and Michael Umloff took charge of the orchestra together.

Your bandwidth or monitor takes charge of the class, and your principal takes charge of the school. And you may be a monitor who takes charge of a class or a team leader who takes charge of a team.

学生:Now, look at this picture and try to answer this question. During the performance, what did Beethoven do? For more than an hour, actually, Beethoven jumped about in front of the orchestra, waving his arms wildly in the air and madly turning the pages of a score. Now, pay attention to these movements. Jump about, wave One's arms and turn the pages madly. Have you ever jumped about somewhere? Have you ever waved your arms wildly? And have you ever madly turned the pages? Well, I guess you may ever jump about on the playground to play some games. Or just like Beethoven, you may have jumped about on the stage giving a performance. And people wave their arms wildly when they are angry or excited. I remember once I waved my arms wildly when I was meeting a friend at the airport, because
