  老师:Hello, everyone. Welcome to our English class. In this class, you will first listen to a conversation and get information about Judy's experience in the Scientific Museum. Second, you will talk about different scientific experiences. So now let's get it started.

  老师:First, please look at the photos and talk about what these activities have to do with science. You can describe the photos according to the three questions. For example, what can you see in the picture? What is he or she doing? And why is he or she doing that?

  老师:So first, let's look at Photo a together. In this photo, we can see a boy and a big dish, or a giant dish. And what is he doing? Yes, maybe the boy is speaking to the giant dish in a very low voice or in a whisper. And why is he doing so? Very good. Maybe the giant dish can show the boy some magical things. Good guesses.

  老师:And then let's move on to the photo b. In this photo, we can see a girl and a piano keyboard, and maybe the girl is playing with her feet to make some musical sounds. Very good.

  老师:Then in Photo C, we have a boy looking at the blue screen, and the blue screen has some bright lights, so maybe the boy is studying something related to planets. Very good.

  老师:Very good. Finally, in Photo E, we can see a boy and a white light. And here the white light is casting shadows in the color of the rainbow. So in this photo, we have three new words. The first one cast means poshu. And then these are the shadows of the boy. So shadow means Ying. Ying. Very good. And finally, we can see that these are the colors of a rainbow. So rainbow means Taihong. Very good.

  老师:Now, we know that these photos show some activities to us, and these photos are related to the conversation we are going to hear. Please use them and try to predict the answers to the following questions.

  老师:Let's look at the first question together. Where are the people in the conversation going to go according to the photos? Most probably we can predict that maybe they are going to a science museum or a Science Center. Very good. Then what about the second one? What kind of place is it and what does it focus on? Maybe it is a place for delight, education and inspiration. Very good. And then maybe it focuses on some scientific phenomena or the discoveries on sound, like the photo a and photo B, and light, like the photo C, d and E. Very good. And finally, what kinds of things can you do there? Very good. Maybe we can have some interactive activities to experience, experiment, and it explore. Very good.
