He collected data and analyzed results. He concluded that the disease was caused by germs in water. Thanks to Zhijohn's know, we now know how to prevent cholera. And also he transformed the way scientists study disease. He's considered the father of modern epidemiology.

  老师:Now we know John Snow's story. So in your opinion, what kind of person is John Snow? Can you use some words to describe John's note? Yes, you are right. We can say John Snow is smart. What else, right? We also can say John Snow is determined, of course. We also can say John Snow is committed. Actually, we can use a lot of words to talk about John Snow because he is such a great scientist. And we all can learn something from him.

  老师:Just now, we talk about John's nose quality. We say, John Snow is determined. Now please look at a sentence. Can you tell me the sentence structure of this sentence? Yes, you're right. It is SP or we say subject plus predictive. In Chinese we say Zhu Xi Biao. Now can you please tell me which part is the predictive? Yes, you're right. Determined is the predictive. Now let's say sentence number two. One theory was that bad air caused the disease. Can you tell me the sentence structure of this sentence? Yes, you are right. It is subject plus predictive again.

  老师:Now can you please tell me which part is the predictive? Yes, that bad air caused the disease is the predictive. So we can see the two sentences have the same sentence structure, but the difference is that the predictive of the second sentence is a clause. So we call it predictive clause.
