  老师:Hello, everyone. Today we'll continue learning the test, Marty's story. Let's make clear of today's learning objectives. At the end of the class. First, you will work out in the meaning of the title. Second, you will sum up the reasons why Marty could adapt to his disability. Finally, you will continue telling Marty's story.

  老师:Yesterday you studied test. Let's have a small revision. Can you tell Marty's story? To make things easier, I give you an outline of Marty's life. You may tell his story in time order. What was his life like before he was 10 years old? What happened to him at primary school? At the moment, he's a high school student. What life is he living now?

  老师:In the table, there are some keywords reminding you of the detailed information of his life. You will have 3 minutes for this oral exercise. By telling Marty's story, you will have a whole picture of what the boy is like. Let's come back to the title, Marty's story. What exactly is Martin story? What message does the title want to convey?

  老师:To understand the inner meaning of the title, let's go back to the test. Look at the summary. For each paragraph, please circle some keywords. You will have 2 minutes for this exercise. Let's take a look at the first paragraph. It's an introduction to Martin and his muscle disease. Muscle disease makes smarting different from other boys. So these are the two keywords.

  老师:Second paragraph introduces how his disease got worse and worse. So these are two keywords. Because of his disability, he met a lot of difficulties. So this is keyword. At high school, things get better. So his life has become easier.

  老师:In the last paragraph, we know that he has find out advantages of his disease. What can we learn from these keywords? It's unbelievable. His muscle disease should bring advantages. Do you still remember in the last paragraph, what advantages did you talk about? Listen to the text.

  学生:In many ways, my disability is help me.

  学生:Grow stronger psychologically and become more independent.

  老师:His disability makes him stronger psychologically. This is the key point of the last paragraph, what we know his stronger psychologically. Which paragraph is about his current situation? Yes, paragraph one. Let's read paragraph one, please find out what shows his stronger psychologically. You will have one minute.
