老师：A short history of the weekend. Before 180, many people spent one day a week at church. In England, people called it a holiday. On that day, they rested and prayed. In the early ATO s, Sunday was the holiday. However, many workers played games and had a fun on that day, and then they felt too tired to work. On Monday mornings in the USA, workers call them Blue Mondays. To solve the problem of blue Mondays, the English made a Saturday afternoon a holiday. In 80,74, at 1:00, everyone stop to working. 老师：等于 she is too young to go to school。从 1874 年开始，英国人为了解决忧郁星期一的问题，就把周六下午也变成了假期。从下午 1 点钟大家都停止工作， stop doing something 停止正在做的事情。 stop to do something 停下来去做事情，停止正在做的事。

老师：让我们停止工作，去休息一下。 lets stop to work 让我们停下来去工作。 stop 除了表示停下来的意思外，还有其他的一些含义。我们来看一下。 stop somebody 使某人停下来拦住某人 stop somebody from doing something，阻止某人做某事。
