老师:please listen to me carefully body language is a form of communication, it is the way in which you show。 All your feelings or thoughts to other people by using gestures, postures, facial expressions, etcetera, instead of any words. Do you understand? Okay.

老师:Now, third question, how to understand body language. This is the most important question in this lesson. For this question, I have 3 tips for you. The first tip, body language is different from Karcher to Karcher. For example, nodding one's head means agreement and shaking one's head means disagreement in most countries. In some countries of South Asia, it is just the opposite. Amazing. Another example, please look at the gesture below. What does it mean? You may say, so easy, it's okay. But I can just say you're right in some ways. Why?

老师:In some countries, it means okay. In Russia, Brazil and Turkey, it is an insult. In France and Belgium, it means zero or worthless. In Japan, it means money. Do you think it unbelievable? But this is the fact which makes us feel surprised and interested, right?

老师:The above is the first tip. Remember that body language is different from culture to culture. Let's go on the second tip. Learn about the meanings of some common kinds of body language in the west. In the following table, there are eight common kinds of body language in the west. On the left, do you understand what each of the body language refers to?

老师:Can you guess what this body language mean? Please think about the questions for a while.

老师:Okay. Do you have any ideas? I think so. Let's share the ideas. The body language had held down means being shy or ashamed. If a person raised his or her hat, he or she may be confident. If a person is looking down while chatting or talking, he or she is probably dishonest. If a person is looking away while chatting or talking, perhaps he or she is feeling bored or uninterested with what you are talking about. If a person is looking in the eyes while chatting or talking, maybe he or she is friendly, interested or honest
