老师：Good morning, everyone. I'm very happy to see you today. My name is Feng Juyang from Beijing, Sichuan Jinglung High School. It's my great honor to give you this lecture today.
老师：In this lesson, we are going to learn Unit 5, Education Period 7, Reading Club. In this period, we are going to read two articles, including from slate to tablets and the Maria Montsary. Let's begin to read the first passage from slate to tablets.
老师：Before entering the Reading Club part, I have a question. How did you learn language in the past, and how do you learn language right now? There must be many differences. Do you still remember the traditional teaching method? Everyone is sitting in the classroom and listening to the teachers.
老师：What about now? Are you sitting in front of a TV or holding a pet or smartphone listening to the lecture anytime you want? A lot have changed, including the way of learning, the contents of class and so on. We call it the development of the education.
老师：In this lesson, we are going to learn two aspects about education. One is talking about the facilities and the technologies in the language learning. The other one talks about the psychology of education.
老师：Now let's start. The first lesson. We are going to read from slave to tablets. From the title, we can predict that the passage will talk about changes of books or the contents of class. As you see in the first picture, slate mean the stones, carved some woods on it. Another thing is called Stonebook. In the past, people have to carry stones every day to read and have lessons. Is that so inconvenient? What about now? Do you have a pet? Do you have a mobile personal computer? I believe a lot of you have experienced the e learning in this passage. Let's focus on the changes of technologies for study.
老师：Before reading, let's learn some new words. Here is the sentence from the passage. Boys would take out their slate to learn grammatical rules and translate sentences. The first new word we have already seen in the picture. Slate means small, thin, rectangular piece of slate or rock, which was used for writing on, as we saw. Slate was a kind of book in the old days. Let's read the sentence. If they failed at all, their punishment was up to 50 strokes of the cane. The next new word came. It was a long stake used especially by old, ill or blind people to help them work. We always see some old people working with a stake in hands. That's the king we are talking about.
老师：The third word comes the sentence, as many classroom have internet access, video facilities and interactive whiteboards. Interactive in the sentence, miscommunication between people or reactions between things that work together. The word describes two things or people have reactions with each other. For
