老师：Hello, everyone. I'm glad to have this class with you. We will learn Unit 1 Communication Workshop together. Let's go. In this unit, we talked about language. Language in different cultures with different forms expresses different meanings. So learning language has great meanings for all of us. Now let's review what we Learned about language. In Lesson 1, we Learned about body language. Besides spoken language, body language also help us communicate. Now let's look at some examples. In many countries, people know their heads to show agreement, and they put their fingers up to their mouth to ask for silence. In some western cultures, people shook their shoulders to show they don't understand or they don't care about something. In Asian countries such as Japan, people bow to show respect when they greet each other or say goodbye. In many European cultures, women and children are kissed on each cheek by family members or friends when they meet in the street. Now, let's move on to lesson two, different kinds of English. We learn English every day, but do you know there are lots of differences between British English and American English, such as spelling, user words, pronunciation and so on. For example, the word color in American English, it is vows C O L O R. But in Britain it spells C O L O U R. And I notice when you are at an American restaurant, you pay with bills, but in Britain they call them notes. When you say tomato is the American pronunciation, you say tomato is the British pronunciation. Now is Lesson 3. From this lesson, we Learned lots of English learning tips. Remember new words using chance sounds and pictures. Review new words often, for long passages. Try to understand the general meaning and key points first. Use language structures in order to remember them. Check learning progress once a week. Use a learning plan to achieve goals. Reward yourself once they are active.
