14 Unit3 Fanscinating Parks Listening and Speaking(Workbook)

  老师:Now let's take a closer look at each part. First, the activities we can do in a park. We may rent a cycle, walk through an underwater corridor, or rent a paddle boat, etc.

  老师:Now let's come to the listening strategy part. When we are listening for directions, it can be very difficult. So we could pay special attention to direction words. When it comes to direction words, there's a table on page 31 asking for and giving directions. If we look more carefully at the expressions listed here, we can divide it into two parts.

  老师:No. 1, asking for directions. In the left column, you can find phrases like excuse me or pardon me, how do I get to the park, are usually used when you are asking for directions.

  老师:Number two, giving directions. In the right column, you can find phrases like it's about 100 meters north of the park, or walk or go along the river or path are usually used when you are giving directions. You can pause for one minute to take a review.

  老师:In this class, we are going to listen to another conversation about visiting a foreign country's park. So now let's open the book and turn to page 77. First, let's look at the questions. You are required to listen to the recording and answer the questions below. Question number one, how many different Polynesian cultures are represented at the park?
